Delete your HGRS account

You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app. It needs a connection, and you need to be signed in. It works even when the app asks to be updated.

Steps

1. Open HGRS and tap “You” at the bottom of the screen, then your name at the top to open “Account”.
2. Tap “Delete account”, read what will happen, type DELETE and confirm.

What deleting does

• Each group you own passes to its longest-standing member, who is told. A group with no other member is deleted.
• You leave every other group, and your join requests are withdrawn.
• Your entries leave every challenge whose drawing has not run, with your daily totals and your activity in its feed.
• In a challenge whose drawing has run, your name in the results becomes “Former member”, and your entries keep only their date and status until 400 days after the challenge ends and its late steps stop counting, and the drawing's record, which names nobody, keeps its list for 3 years. A drawing you ran shows it was run by a former member.
• Your profile, the date you confirmed you are 18 or over, your cheers, blocks and reports, your push registrations and your sign-in are deleted. This cannot be undone.

What we keep afterwards

A marker that the account was deleted, for 90 days, so your other devices learn it; reports other people made about you, until they expire 90 days after they were made; blocks other people made of you, which name only your former account id, until the person who made one opens their list of blocked people or deletes their account; our request logs for 30 days; and backups, which deleted data leaves within 35 days. If you can't open the app

Install HGRS on any iPhone, sign in to the same account and delete it there. If something still stops you, write to support@systemthinkvan.com from the email address you sign in with: we confirm it is your account and delete it for you, in the same way.
